C. A. Elliott – April 26, 1891

In this letter Charlotte Elliott thanks Levi for helping them, describes Frank’s difficulty making a living in sales and at a brickyard where he was to earn $9 a week. She mentions him visiting a doctor to have a broken arm set. She expresses concern for her family circumstances. “Sometimes it seems as though the harder we struggled the tighter our cords were bound and the outlook is dark.”
