Looking west, before 1898

The large, two-story building on the left is the Eagle Block, a brick building housing a store and grist mill. It was built by William Ireland and Elam Burrill in 1877. In 1894 the building was sold to Leslie Ireland. On the right is the Corinna House, a hotel owned by Fred Welch. The railroad tracks are visible running across Main Street. The railroad lantern post shows at the extreme right. The railroad came through Corinna in 1866.

  1. Looks like the railroad track running across the foreground. There is a signal lamp on the post on the extreme right. The railroad came through Corinna in the late 1860’s. The Stewart Library Building in not there. This dates the picture to between late 1860’s and 1898 when the library was built.
